Studied at the Graphics Research and Training Institute and then at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Later taught there as a visiting professor (). Awarded the Gustav Klimt Prize (Vienna, ) and the Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg Prize for Painting (Graz, ). Represented Austria at the Graphic Biennale in Zagreb, Croatia (). Participated in the Styrian Autumn Festival of Contemporary Art in Graz, Austria ().

Participated in Art Cologne in Cologne (), Art Forum () and Vienna Art Fair in Vienna (, , ).

 

Solo museum exhibitions were held at the Museum of Modern Art in Admont (Austria, ), at the Artists&#; House in Vienna () and at the New Gallery of the Museum Complex Joanneum in Graz (Austria, , , , , ). He has participated in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art (Admont, Austria, ), the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (), the Museum of Modern Art of the Ludwig Foundation in Vienna (MUMOK, ) and the Tuna Art Museum (Sweden, ).

Took part of the travelling exhibition Cities on the Move, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, which was presented in galleries and museums in Vienna (), Bordeaux (France, ), New York (), Helsinki, London () and Holbeck (Denmark, ) between and
