Nancy is a South Korean-American singer, actress, and TV host who is famous for being the Maknae (youngest member) of the popular South Korean girl group Momoland.

Nancy Jewel McDonie was born on Thursday, April 13, (age 21 years; as of ), in Nam-gu, Daegu, South Korea.

In early interviews, Nancy said that her Korean name was Lee Seung-ri. In a interview with Mnet, Nancy revealed that her Korean name was Lee Geu-roo (Geu-loo or Geu-ru).

At the age of two, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, US, with her family; in between, she also stayed with her family in Dublin, Ireland.

After almost six years, in , she returned to South Korea and studied at Wolbae Elementary School, Daegu, and Hyoja Elementary School, Pohang. In , she did her secondary school graduation in music from Hanlim Multi Art School, Seoul, South Korea.

She has done a Bachelor in Media and Visual Acting at Sungshin Women&#;s University, Seoul.

Momoland

In , Mnet released an MLD Entertainment-produced reality survival show ‘Finding Momoland,&#; which featured teen MLD trainees competing to become a part of the K-pop girl group ‘Momoland.’ In the competition, a seven-member girl group was formed and she was the second person in the group.

Talking about her experience from the show, Nancy said,

It was tremendously trembling.
